Have a pair of gently used tennis or athletic shoes you no longer need? Donate them during LASA Dance’s spring shoe drive partnered with GotSneakers, a sneaker recycling organization! Bonus points, bring a pair to our Spring Show on May 3 at the AISD PAC & receive a FREE concession item too!

Drop off outside of library in the tall box & scan QR code on box to log your NHS hour(s) anytime between April 21-May 2.

*Please donate tennis shoes & athletic shoes only, and DO NOT donate flip flops, sandals, heels, crocs, boots, dress shoes, etc. Each pair of shoes is worth 1 hour of NHS sponsored hours.

Senior Salute Slide Show Submissions

Hello Class of 2025! Please complete THIS Google form to share your post-graduation plans and a photo for the slide show that will play during Senior Salute. The photo can be an informal photo of you wearing your college t-shirt, a formal portrait, or your CADY senior photo. If you do not submit a photo, the LASA seal will serve as your photo.

When loading the file, please use the following naming convention: Last Name, First Name.

If you have more than one graduate, please fill out a form for each.

Senior Salute Auditions Rescheduled to 5/2

We are still looking for senior star power for Senior Salute! We’re rescheduling auditions to 5/2 and will be a firm date to get it done before APs!

We need:

  • Emcees to host the show (will audition 5/2 at the end of advisory following panoramic photo)
  • Musical Performances (no live auditions, submit video that is no longer than 3 minutes)

Let’s TACO’BOUT AP Breakfasts and Snacks

AP testing spans two weeks in May beginning on 5/5 and ending 5/16. Many students go directly from test to test, with less than 10 minutes to refuel between tests. PFLASA coordinates breakfasts and snacks to fuel these hardworking minds and bodies. We are looking for a shadow to learn the ropes for next year, as well as people interested in serving as a planning committee.

Duties could include: scheduling volunteers, set up/break down of breakfasts and snacks, setting up and maintaining spreadsheets, working within a budget to arrange the necessary food and snacks for the 2 week testing period, and communicating with volunteers, staff, and vendors.

LASA Project Graduation 2025 Needs Volunteers

It takes a village to raise our children. That village has taken many shapes and forms throughout their school years: devoted teachers, principals, librarians, staff, mentors, and other parents.

The LASA community is a community like no other. As we prepare to launch our LASA Class of 2025, we hope you will consider serving in their last LASA village by volunteering at the Project Graduation 2025 lock-in at the East Communities YMCA on June 3-4. We need adult volunteers across all grade levels to help by volunteering for a 4 hour shift during the event.

It is a fun event and the volunteers have a great time. This sign-up has details about the roles and shifts, but if you have any questions, feel free to drop us a note at projectgraduation@pflasa.org.

Tickets are now on sale for Project Graduation! $10! Don’t miss out!

Project Graduation is an annual LASA tradition, attended each year by almost every graduated Senior. It is a fun-filled evening with live entertainment, casino games, including a poker table with dealers, a pool, sports courts, games, movies, karaoke, quiet spaces, creative spaces and food for all. There is literally something for everyone.

  • Ends: Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 5:30am

Seniors! Sign up to perform at Senior Salute!

Seniors! Senior Salute is on Sunday, June 1st at 6pm and seniors will be the star power! We need seniors to emcee the evening (writing the script), audition to perform a musical act, and participate in the annual skit.

The deadline to sign up is Friday March 28, so be sure to fill out the form if you’d like to have a role on stage for this exciting event!

For musical acts, please submit a video of what you’d like to perform (no longer than 3 minutes). We’d like to have the videos submitted Friday 3/28 but let us know on the form if you need a little more time.

LASA CAC 2025 – 2027 Applications Open

It’s that time of year again, we are looking for community members, parents, and alumni members to be a part of the LASA Campus Advisory Council (CAC) 2025-2027. Access the Application form at https://www.austinisd.org/advisory-bodies/cac/application. The application deadline is Thursday, April 17, 2025.

You can learn more about LASA CAC, including how frequent the meetings are, at https://lasa.austinschools.org/parents/campus-advisory-council. If you are selected to serve on the CAC 2025-2027 board, your term will officially start in September 2025, and you will be invited to join the May 7th meeting.
