Thank you for submitting content for the Parents and Friends of LASA newsletter!

Please read our guidelines below before submitting to ensure timely message distribution.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  1. What to post: All submissions must be non-commercial in nature and must be affiliated with one of the following: LASA student/parent clubs or groups; LASA faculty/staff/administration; AISD staff/administration; LASA feeder schools; LASA PTSA. If a message is specific to one group (e.g. orchestra families), you should be using your group’s communications channel(s) to send your message.
  2. Deadline: Submit your content by 11:59 pm on Sunday to post on Wednesday the following week.
  3. Length: Submissions should be brief (10-15 sentences maximum). Note that only the first couple of sentences are included in the email — the remainder of your content will be linked to on the website, so pack the important information in your headline and first two sentences.
  4. Content edits: Our editors reserve the right to edit for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and clarity, but do not rely on our volunteer editors to proofread.
  5. What to include: Your submission should include information on:
    1. Who (who should read the post and/or who the post is about)
    2. What (what group/organization/event is the post pertaining to)
    3. Where (if applicable, where is the location of your event or meeting)
    4. When (what date and time, if applicable)
    5. Why (why this information is important or relevant to the reader)
    6. How (what action are you requesting that the reader take — click a link, bring money for something, etc.).
    7. Attachments and/or links, if applicable (attachments should be pdf format if at all possible)

OTHER TIPS

  1. Do not use all caps as the editor will have to manually fix them.
  2. Do not use bullet points, tables or other formatting.
  3. Do not put hard returns in your message; clean them up first.

Raptor Report Newsletter Submission Form

The Raptor Report newsletter is emailed every Wednesday at 10am (during the school year). The deadline to submit is Sunday at 11:59pm.

A short phrase or sentence that will appear above your post on the website and in the Raptor Report enewsletter.
Please note if your submission is received after the Sunday deadline, it will not run in that Wednesday’s Raptor Report.
