PFLASA is excited to announce Great Gatherings! Formerly known as Happy Hours, Great Gatherings are an excellent way to build community and help PFLASA fund senior events. So, grab some friends and host a party!

How do Great Gatherings work? A family or group of families offer to host an event. Hosts incur costs for the gathering and the ticket sales go to PFLASA, who in turn support Senior Salute and other events. Great Gatherings can be held for your grade level to get to know your parent cohort, open to a mix of classes, or for the entire LASA population. As host, you determine your audience and the size of your event. We suggest a ticket price of $30 per person, but each event is unique and are happy to work with you if you feel your event meets a lower or higher ticket price.

What type of event constitutes a Great Gathering? The opportunities are endless! Some hosts like to offer a seasonal party. Others come up with a theme. You can elect to host in your home or at a venue. Great Gatherings encompass all sorts of events: a cocktail happy hour, themed buffets, guided hikes, wine or beer samplings, a book club, a crafting night, yoga in the park…. Additionally, Great Gatherings are not limited to adults. Feel free to host a student gathering like a laser tag party, mani-pedi outing, LAN gaming night…. The only limitation is your imagination!

I greatly love to gather! How do I host? You simply fill out the Great Gatherings Interest Form with all the dates and details of your event, and someone from the Great Gatherings committee will be in touch to get your event on the calendar and promoted.
