Class of 2028 Leads in Membership….but for How Long?
The Class of 2028 is still holding the lead for most PTSA Student memberships, but The Class of 2027 is closing in. It’s a tight race! We are still accepting memberships for all students, parents, friends, and faculty!
Membership counts as of January 5th:
Class of 2028 – 56 Members
Class of 2027 – 49 Members
Class of 2026 – 38 Members
Class of 2025 – 32 Members
We still have about 40 faculty members who need memberships. If you would like to donate one, add an Adult Faculty membership into your cart and put Donation in the name and email fields.
LASA Dance Presents Teacher Talent Show!
LASA Dance invites you to the Teacher Talent Show on December 6th from 5pm to 6pm. Doors will open at 4:15pm for preshow entertainment, which includes balloon twisting lessons. Admission includes a free cookie! This event will be fun and relaxing and will raise money for the LASA Dance teams. We hope you will join us!
Tickets are available online, at the door, or through the QR code. We appreciate advance ticket sales so we can plan refreshments.
LASA Dance Junior Clinic for K-8th Grade Students
LASA Dance is hosting a Junior Clinic for K-8th grade students at LASA on Saturday, Sept. 28th from 8:30am – 12:15pm. Click here for more info and to register. Attendees receive 3 hours of dance instruction, a showing at the end of the day, and the option to attend the October 10th football game and sit with the dance teams during the first quarter. LASA Robotics New and Returning Family Events
RoboEnthusiasts and the RoboCurious,
If R2D2 is your child’s favorite Star Wars character or they spend their weekends watching Battle Bots reruns, we’d like you to nudge them towards joining the many, the proud, the LASA Robotics team. LASA Robotics is a great way to explore creative problem solving in a hands-on environment with a group of fellow robot enthusiasts.
For new students, we will have a welcome Cookie Social 8/29 at 11:30am in Room 710. This will be a great way to meet eveyone and learn what LASA Robotics is all about.
Our first meeting of the year for new and returning students will be 9/3 at 4pm in Room 710 with a new and returning families meeting at 6pm to learn about what LASA Robotics offers, tour the shop, and meet fellow families.

The 24-25 Yearbook is now on sale! As one “famous” LASA parent said: “Buy it now before you forget, save the email receipt that you can search for, and put a calendar reminder on for May to buy a new lipstick because you already bought a yearbook!”
NHS Sponsored Hours Opportunity
Teachers will be starting back soon which brings us to two sponsored hours opportunities for NHS members. You will find the details below.
LASA HS – August 8th & 16th
Come help LASA teachers and staff put the school together before the school year starts. Both days students can come from between 9am and 3pm to get however many hours they would like. Make sure to check in with Ms. Pettigrew and/or an officer in room 304 to get assigned to a teacher or staff member.
Blanton Elementary – August 7th – August 19th
Ms. Ruiz, Assistant Principal for Blanton Elementary, has requested our help in getting their school ready for the school year. The shifts are below and you will check in in the office. If you are planning on helping out please fill out this google form for Ms. Ruiz.
