Calling All Parents with High School Experience from Schools other than LASA!

Do you have a child at another high school? Or one that graduated from somewhere other than LASA? Or did you transfer to LASA after freshman year?

PFLASA needs parents with these backgrounds to help with our “Find Your Fit” Parent Panels. With the advent of ranked choice applications a few years ago, PFLASA started hosting this event for parents of potential students during the COGAT testing. This helps parents decide if LASA is the right fit for their student. And it is a fun way to hear about other programs in AISD and private schools.

Incoming parents have told us how helpful these panels have been.

Please reach out to president@pflasa.org by January 5th! Especially if you have a few hours to volunteer on either Saturday, January 10th or 24th! But even if you can’t make those dates work, please also reach out if you would like to participate in this event in future years.

PFLASA’s Raising Healthy Raptors: Parent Book Club Interest Form

Greetings, LASA community!

My name is Mandy Menzer and I am a fellow LASA parent as well as a clinical psychologist. I wanted to see if there would be any interest in possibly having a parenting book club. I have found this particular book, Getting to Calm: Cool Headed Strategies for Parenting Teens and Tweens, to be based on solid psychological research as well as easy to read and apply in my own parenting dilemmas.

More information can be found in this Google form, which will help me to both gauge interest and to get contact info for those who would like to receive updates about it. Feel free to email mmh20cornell@yahoo.com with any questions.

Congratulations to our Reflections Artists of 2025
