As we begin planning Project Graduation we would like your input on which activities you’d enjoy doing with your friends. Nothing is set in stone yet and your answers can help us plan. Please fill out the survey and let us know what you want!
Parents, you can help us out by gently reminding your seniors to fill out the form!
As you may already know, Great Gatherings are a fun community builder but also a great way to help PFLASA raise funds for the graduating class’s Senior events.
These are a tradition at LASA and as with many things at LASA, this is a pay-it-forward act!
If you’d like to host a happy hour or another type of event, find some friends to co-host, fill out this form and we’ll get the ball rolling: http://tinyurl.com/GGatherings.
Dancers, musicians, writers, photographers, videographers, and visual artists now have 3 more weeks to work on their Reflections entry! This year’s art competition theme is “I Belong.” Students submit their work digitally and are eligible to compete at the local, state, and national levels for awards and prizes. Plus, it looks great on college applications! Please encourage your art-makers to apply!
Join the LASA Baseball Boosters for this year’s New Baseball Families Meet and Greet/Parent Social! This is an annual event for new and returning families to get an overview of the program, timelines, and other important details. New and current families, come out and socialize!
Date: Tuesday, October 14th
Time: 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM (informal presentation at 6:45 PM)
We really do! We believe in student membership so much that we offer discounted student membership rates when joining through our website.
Also, every year, LASA PTSA runs a contest to see which class will have the highest student membership. The race is on! Here’s the current student membership count:
Class of 2028 – 53 members
Class of 2029 – 47 members
Class of 2027 – 39 members
Class of 2026 – 32 members
It’s a close race! Spread the word and have your classmates join PTSA. Every membership counts. While you’re at it, have your parents join too!
In PFLASA, we believe in supporting each other across all grade levels. This is why we use the Pay It Forward model:
Each year, the Freshmen, Sophomore, and Junior families work together to help fund that year’s graduating class Project Graduation event. (This is an all night lock-in party to keep our senior kids safe)
When it’s your student’s turn to graduate, the younger classes will do the same for you.
This approach makes our traditions possible and ensures every class has the support they need for a memorable senior year.
Think of it as a circle:
Freshmen, Sophomores & Juniors→ support today’s seniors.
Seniors (and families) → get to celebrate!
When you attend a Great Gathering or bid in our online Auction, you’re helping us make our safe and fun event for Seniors possible!
By participating now, you’re making sure that when it’s your child’s turn, the community is ready to celebrate them. That’s the power of Paying It Forward.
PFLASA will be set up both during morning check-in by the front office (7:20-8:10) and during lunch in Mr Mueller’s room (506), on Thursday and Friday during Bring Your Parents to School Days.
If you’ve been having issues joining us, or if you know people who have had trouble, this will be your opportunity! Please join us. 🙂
Thank you to all of you ladies who have already signed up! At the time I type this message, we have 63 responses, which is incredible! And yes, we have room for more of you, so please join us to catch up with old friends and/or make new ones! Please sign up to join us on 9/27.
