A native Austinite and graduate of Boston University, Yvonne Espinoza is a nationally recognized leader in the college counseling profession with over 20 years of experience. Yvonne worked as a full-time college counselor for Austin ISD for 19 years, worked as an admissions reader for the University of San Francisco, and is the sole owner of Yvonne Espinoza College Counseling Services, now in its 10th year of operation. Yvonne also was elected to serve on multiple national level college admissions committees including the Colleges That Change Lives Board of Directors (Treasurer), the Common Application Common Advisory Board, NACAC Ad-Hoc Committee Co-Chair, and Varsity Coach for ScholarMatch. Yvonne is also a Certified Educational Planner, a credential of college counseling excellence shared by only 5 other consultants in the Austin area.


The incredible amount of college information available to students and families can seem overwhelming. How do students begin the process of sifting through options to narrow down college choices? During this master class, Yvonne Espinoza, CEP, will discuss recommendations for conducting college research and figuring out “college fit.” This session will include a 45 minute presentation and a 15 minute question and answer session.
