Ben is a LASA Sophomore and a member of the LASA Stitch Club. Crochet is a great way to relieve stress, make cool things and serve the community.

DESCRIPTION

In this class, you will learn a variety of crochet stitches including single crochet, double crochet, half-double crochet, triple crochet, slip knot and the magic circle. We will de-mystify crochet patterns and get you started on a simple coaster project. With the basics learned in this class, you will be able to make ear warmers, scarfs, blanket squares and other fun items. Come join this 1 hour class and learn a life-long skill.

SHOPPING LIST/SUPPLIES (to get before the class)

  • Medium weight acrylic yarn. Lighter/Brighter colors are best.
  • Crochet Hook – We recommend size 6.00mm (also called “J”) or 7.00mm
  • Darning Needle – Any needle with a big enough eye to thread the yarn
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
